Contact the Elderly are celebrating 50 years of helping to tackle loneliness and social isolation amongst older people. One way they do this is by holding monthly afternoon tea parties.

The Williams Family Foundation are proud to be supporting this charity for the next year by funding the tea parties being held in Rhyl and Prestatyn.

Imelda Jones, the volunteer co-ordinator of Contact the Elderly in Rhyl & Prestatyn explained the importance of these get togethers.

Every month we see the difference that the tea parties we hold make to local older people who are lonely and isolated. Friendships are formed, and people really look forward to meeting up, enjoying a lovely tea and having a good chat. Our parties contribute hugely to the health and well being of the older people in our community and we are immensely grateful to The Williams Family Foundation for their generous support.
