Building the Foundation – Our 2015 Story

We’ve had a fantastic first year at the Williams Family Foundation, giving over £250,000 to local charities within Cheshire and North Wales.  These charities impressed us with their commitment to helping people and groups in need within our communities.  Our grant funding has enabled them to deliver projects that have made a real difference.  We visited some incredible charitable organisations and we’ve recognised that the passion of the staff who work at these charities is what makes them so successful.

Our funding in 2015 has ranged from £2000 to provide a garden area at a women’s refuge to £75,000 for an exciting capital project at a local hospice.

Some thoughts on us..

“On behalf of the children, families and all of the team at Stick ‘n’ Step, I would like to thank everyone at the Williams Family Foundation for their generous support of the work that we are doing with children and young people with cerebral palsy.” (Matt Meaney, Fundraiser at Stick ‘n’ Step)

“We very much appreciate the tremendous support that the Williams Family Foundation have given us this year and see what a difference it makes to the lives of local life threatened and life limited children and their families.” (Sarah Kearsley-Wooller, Fundraising Manager at their Conwy based hospice, Ty Gobaith)

“We were thrilled to have been granted a £5000 donation from the Williams Family Foundation to set up a fourth social group for physically disabled adults in Flintshire to help with feelings of isolation, loneliness and help build self confidence. The grant from the Williams Family Foundation will make a difference by enabling us to establish a new weekly group at Holywell Leisure Centre.”  (Jan Thomas, Manager at Flintshire Disability Forum)

Our foundation is just beginning its story and we are very excited about supporting more great causes in 2016 and meeting more incredible people who help others in extraordinary ways.  If you are a registered charity based in Cheshire or North Wales and are looking for grant funding, please visit click here to find out if you could be eligible to apply.
