North Wales Superkids brings sunshine, surprises and smiles to hundreds of disadvantaged children and young people across North Wales. The Williams Family Foundation had the pleasure of sponsoring two of their festive treat projects for Christmas 2014.
The first is the Toy Box Appeal that provides Christmas gifts to hundreds of children, young people and care leavers who are no longer enjoying family support and who can become very socially isolated and low at Christmas time.
The second project was the sponsorship of North Wales Superkids’ annual panto trip. 200 people were invited to the rock ‘n’ roll pantomime at Theatre Clwyd with their treat including an ice cream during the interval and a selection box to take home with them.
Margaret Williams MBE, founder of North Wales Superkids said:
“Thank you to the Williams Family Foundation for sponsoring this year’s panto trip. Everyone had a wonderful time including the opportunity of meeting and greeting the cast from the show. Without sponsorship of this treat the children and sometimes a mum would never have the chance to experience the magic of live theatre. For many, who are usually excluded from such trips for financial reasons, this treat is even more exciting and precious. I am also extremely grateful for the donation to our Toy Box Appeal, thank you so much.”
