We are excited to announce that we have given our biggest grant to date by providing £49,000 to Stick ‘n’ Step, a fantastic charity helping children and young people with cerebal palsy.
Matt Meaney, Fundraiser for Stick ‘n’ Step explained more about what this funding will achieve.
“The team at Stick ‘n’ Step is absolutely delighted with this generous donation from The Williams Family Foundation. The work that we do with children and young people with cerebral palsy, and their families, really isn’t possible without the generosity of the enormous community of people, businesses and grant making trusts that supports our work. This donation means that 14 children from the Cheshire community will be able to attend our conductive education sessions every week for an entire year.
During this year they will each make progress in their mobility, confidence and independence. Some of them might take their first steps. Others may learn to feed themselves independently. Some might learn to move from sitting to standing without support. Others could have great improvements in their speech. Delivering a personalised programme of learning and development means every child has the opportunity to reach their personal potential.”
