Childhood Cancer Support

Following the success of The Joshua Tree Saturday sessions, we have decided to continue funding these family support groups for a second year.  The Joshua Tree provides much needed support to the whole family including the patient their siblings, parents and grandparents.  The Saturday sessions are a chance to meet with families going through the same experiences and it’s a chance for the youngsters to have some fun but also receive practical and therapeutic help when it’s needed.

Alongside these regular groups, we are also funding 1-2-1 personal training for teenagers recovering from cancer.  Gym sessions provide these teenagers with more confidence as they are able to take control of their physical fitness after their bodies have gone through the trauma of cancer treatment.  To find out more about the benefits for these teenagers, watch this clip
